Online help
Students can access our online help desk, staffed more than 80 hours each week. They can use e-mail, webmail, phone, IM and chat to contact the helpful technicians who will ensure that hardware and software problems won’t stand in the way of academic progress.
Tutorials
We offer tutorials in Blackboard, the course delivery platform that is used by millions of online learners around the world. Students complete the Blackboard tutorial before the first class, ensuring that they are comfortable with the online learning environment. We also provide tutorials for e-mail, MS Office, virus removal, Windows software and many other applications.
Online library and database
We offer an extensive online library. Students can access articles, databases, books, reference works and professional publications—all online. We also provide the services of a librarian, who is available by e-mail, phone and IM for personal help with online resources. We want students to be able to use materials effectively.
Rich learning environment
Students report that distance education provides an excellent level of interaction between students and faculty. Teachers post their “office hours” to ensure that students know when they are available. Like instructors at our bricks and mortar campus, the faculty in our online division are dedicated to helping students succeed.
Face-to-face support at our Lakeville campus
Students registered in online courses are welcome to drop in on our Lakeville campus to visit the library, use the computer labs or ask a staff member a question.
