Degree programs in IT
Our Lakeville campus offers two programs in information technology. All credits from the associate degree program transfer to the bachelor’s in IT:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology. This four-year degree program includes certificate exam preparation and a strong business component, training that prepares graduates to work in all types of organizations. The program can be completed in 36 months of full-time study.
- Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Information Technology. This two-year degree program provides practical, hands-on training and prepares students for IT certification exams. The AAS can be completed in 18 months of full-time study.

Graduates of our IT programs look forward to positions in education, government, business or medicine. The long-term job outlook remains good, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics projecting that the information technology area will increase by at least 25% by 2016. Both the bachelor’s and associate in IT programs are offered through the GU/MSB online college as well as at our Lakeville campus. Distance learners enjoy robust support, many opportunities to interact with teachers and classmates and the flexibility that comes with online learning. Students may also online classes with face-to-face instruction at our Lakeville school.
